Reply:
I was only able to do the clan chat in my spare time (Evenings and weekends) and unfortunately (well fortunately for me), I haven't had much spare time lately. Rather than leave it open without me dropping in and hence disappointing everyone I thought I'd wait until I had a bit more spare time again.

Most of us by now know about the up coming MMO by you guys codename "Mechscape", but
it seems you guys have gone with the name "Stellar Dawn", can you confrim this? Also any
new on the Beta?

Answer:
MechScape is indeed a codename, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to confirm the real name yet, although I believe the name will be announced soon. Work is still ongoing, it's going to a be a while yet. Want to make it better!

With the world activity update of yesterday, you changed a lot of country flags to a RS-flag. But, there is no members world for the Netherlands anymore while we're one of the biggest RS-population.

Answer:
Oops no members world for Netherlands looks like a mistake to me, I will ask someone to look into that.

Q: I also see you're a big fan of Penguins they're a great source of experience infact did you ever think of making a penguin god?

A: Well I think the game could always use more Penguins, but I don't think the content team would let me mess up the in depth back story and history of the god wards they are building up by inserting a penguin god Wouldn't really fit with everything else.

Q: How does it feel to run such a big company a lot of creativity is involved, could you do diary of how it all came to be? I'd love to see a release of a diary of how it all came to be!

A: It feels awesome Can't believe it happened to me. Very lucky! There are various interviews out there of how it came to be. Quite a long story.

Q: 1) Jagex has a Youtube channel as most of us do will it be possible to bring out Development Diary Videos to see upcoming updates? Behind closed doors at Jagex.

A: I like this idea. More use of video would be good, and video interviews would be good to. Not sure how keen the staff would be about appearing on camera though. Not sure how keen I would be about that for that matter I'm quite shy.

Q: 2) I would enjoy a Quest Cutscene Archive for when you've completed quest too to relive certain quests and their cutscenes, maybe the Wise Old Man can offer this service, some cutscenes I haven't seen since classic.

A: It would be good. Unfortunately it would also be a mammoth amount of work because the cutscenes haven't been written in a way which allows them to be easily replayed as most assume you are at a particular point in the quest when they run, so this would be a LOT of work, so unlikely to happen.

Q: 3) Recently the Menagerie and was a welcomed change, when pets wandered around the house, there was no left click option, I think it would be superb if this was added to familiars that aren't your own, so digging through piles of Graahks, clicking on peoples cats in crowded areas is a thing of the past.

A: Trying to make your own familiar appear on top of the stack would be good. Also quite hard, as by the time the data reaches the client it no longer knows which familiar goes with which player.

Have you considered turning the Player Messaging Centre into a service where players can contact each other similar to a mail inbox? Only friends would be allowed to message each other allowing them to send pm’s to each other while they are offline. This would be incredibly useful for clans as well.

Answer:
It's something we have considered. I agree it would be useful to allow offline messaging. Not being developed at the moment though. We need to rewrite a lot of our ticketing system before we could even start doing this.

What do you think about the fact that RuneScape is slowly getting easier?
(Stealing Creation, Soul Wars, Run Energy update, etc.)

Answer:

Well I think SOME things are getting easier, but the overall challenge of completing everything the game has to offer certainly isn't getting easier. Doing everything and maxing out everything is probably harder than it has ever been, because we also add new skills, new quests, etc.. which makes finishing everything harder over all.

Also I always find it odd how whenever we make something easier people complain the game is getting easier, and whenever we remove something that was too rewarding and was making the game too easy people instead complain that we've just removed their favourite way of leveling or making money. We really can't win!

A:

1. It's ok Not my favourite vegetable. My favourite 3 veg are spinach, then leek, then mushrooms. But I do like putting cabbages everywhere in RuneScape.

3. You will go to a webpage and choose a new name (that isn't already taken). You will still login with your old name and password, but everyone will see your new name.
