Does a temp kick in the clan remove the players experience from the clan also ? If so.... Is there a way to make it so that certain ranks can " mute " a player for a short time without " muting " everyone with lower ranks ? How to make this temp mute possible in clan > make it a certain rank name. If I wanted to temp mute a player in my clan , then I would simply just change their rank to this > mime A temp ( in clan mute ) is sometimes needed to make a player cool down from a heated discussion. I would hate to lose the players experience they have added to the clan as a whole. Thanks , Thee Ace |
Yes it is possible. Let me find a guide on how to do this. If not, I'll write one for you ![]() Luke Aled EDIT: Here you go. Credit to Crazyig for this guide I keep reading fellow Leaders posts asking for a way to Mute a Clan member rather than asking them to shut it, or kicking resulting in a much worse outcome in many ways. The Truth is YOU ALREADY CAN! It's not as simple as Temporary Mute and that option is still very much desired. However note in Clan Settings->Permissions->Corporal, You can set it so this Rank is the Minimum allowed to speak in Clan Chat. This allows any out of control member for any reason in chat to be Temporarily Muted by de-ranking them to Recruit until a situation is cooled down. Of course this does mean several bad things. Recruits and Guest can't Speak in Clan Chat (although I've gotten round this as its so simple to switch back and forth). And also New Recruits have to be immediately Promoted to Corporal resulting in one less rank to use within the Clan on the whole. But back to my point, it might not be perfect, but incase you didn't know it was there, it is And my clan have been using this procedure for the past couple of months and it has come in very handy. Hope it helps |

Unfortunately, in my experience, there is no temp kick/mute for clan members. You (admin+) can however temp kick guests. You can't mute a clan member without muting the whole rank and lower ranks. You can set whether guests can enter or chat in cc in clan settings, but that is about is. You can set whether a certain rank (an all lower rank) can chat in clan settings > permissions. One way to do this, is setting recruit (lowest rank) mute. So set in your permission that Corporal rank is minimum to talk in cc. Then when you want to mute an individual clan member, demote them to recruit. This however, requires that you give anyone who you allow to chat a rank of Corporal or higher. |

Right, but I do not want to forget to re-rank them after I have made them cool down for a while. Also in other clans I have guested in ......they want guest to be able to chat being that many of them come from different clans. Alliances in a way using both clan chats. So temp kick can only be done for Guest ? Also, If anyone wants to .....please feel free to suggest this " Mime " rank to allow us to have more control with our ranks and not silencing the guest or lower ranks. Thx, Thee Ace |

Yes temp kick only works on guests. Any kicking of a fully fledged clan mate is permanent. Before the citadels came along permissions were slightly different, and we could at that time mute individual players - in the same screen as the kick function for clan mates. A mime rank would be good, then at least everyone else in clan could see that that particular clan mate was unable to speak. kera |

| I agree with the advice already given on this thread. Temperary kicks are intended for guests only and you can downrank someone if they are causing problems in the clan (that's assuming you have the lowest rank permissions set on not allowed to speak in clan chat). Kicking or removing a player will remove the experience they've accumulated while in the clan from your clan experience. |

It is also hard to mute players lower then a certain rank , because we have alliance clans that come in and let us know what linked events are going on. Would still like to have the original suggestion looked into more. |
