Sure, it probably hasn't given hordes of people for Events, but you cannot deny it is a step forward, and that it has probably perked the interest of some who didn't tread further than the RuneScape Homepage at most times. That, to me, is progress. Progress comes slowly, even if we waited for it for quite a bit of time, and is certainly not something to be rushed. As for Collin and I, he is involved in quite a bit such as Town Square Q&A, Weekly Forum Events, and one other group which I may be forgetting about, but he generally likes helping out and having fun every now and then, as I do. I mostly do Events with Rs Outreach, if ever, and Town Square Q&A sessions regularly, with most of my experience with the Events Community being in the far past, where our friend Mod Howes' presence was there in abundant amounts, as well as when the Events United group was starting up. All of us really are up for any and all events though. Do you have any ideas for some neat projects to start-up, or perhaps some of your own that you have running? I saw this one particularly neat project regarding ongoing mini-game help events earlier, but it seems to be a bit inactive for now. |

I'm owner of the NRC, a sports league played inside a Citadel battlefield. I've been involved in Events since late 2007 and can say certainly that time hasn't helped these forums. IMO Event owners/organisers need to come together to agree what to do next and see if Jagex can help. A big problem at the moment is we're losing the events veterans, and nobody else is coming in, the out-going is bigger than the in-coming. Sort of like a dying breed. |

Again, suggesting a full merger of Events OGO & Events OOF - The 'Event's Community' is split between OGO & OOF, sort of like North & South Korea (surely that isn't a good thing?), this split can cause the following - - Confusion - The amount of party/altar threads posted here is unreal. - Lack of communication - Nobody from either forum knows each-other well, or at all, and what either communities best interests are. - No 'true' events community - See above, the divide, etc. etc. I know Jagex/Moderators just re-branded Tournaments to keep the RSW 'Threat' contained and hidden away from the rest of the forums, but RSW is smaller and more mature than what it once was, and we're now decent people with no need to disrespect 'Authoritaaaah', so there is no need to keep your most creative-thinking players in the down & out. However, as a compromise if we CAN'T get a full merger; I'd like to see One off threads in this forum treated with an IRON FIST. Locked straight away, the OP getting a 3 month forum ban for posting it in the wrong section and a message to his account simply saying "L2READ, Bro." + any poster on that/those said threads receiving 24h forum mutes. Harsh I know, but having this forum filled with those one-off's for days is bad for OGO threads, yet if we were to take OGO threads into OOF, they'd be locked on sight. I'm suggesting prominent event owners/organisers & the forum mods for Events OGO+OOF get together and discuss things for the future of this community, and more communication. I'm also suggesting if a full merger occurs, the forum should be higher up on the forums list - underneath General/above Off-Topic. Is that surely too much to ask? I'll come up with a date if anyone is interested. |
| Bump from Page 7. |
A bump also from page seven for this idea-filled wonder of a thread .

Sorry for the long wait, guys. We'll get something going here soon. ![]() In the meantime, please continue to post your ideas! I'll update the first page as soon as possible. |
| Bump. |
Here's to a small bump for this thread .Out of curiosity, do any of you folks remember the Events United initiative that I believe we had with multiple groups along with Mind taking care of the thread itself, though posts were given to represent groups that were participating? I'm curious, have there been any attempts to revive that, and if not, would any of you be interested in reviving that once we catch up with Mind and a few others, and hopefully Amoraten? I believe anyone is welcome to join in the construction, or re-construction for better words, of that, so it would be neat to have it jump-started again for some more community-wide unity events, or as some say, the cue to victory! |
I'd love to see Events United back up and running, Vand. My only concern is that there may not be enough interest since there are very few active events teams now. Hopefully we can get something going though, since those events were always a lot of fun. ![]() I've been meaning to update the first page for a while, and will do so in just a bit!

Events United would be great. As Wiz said, it may be a bit of a struggle with the current amount of teams. Hope everyone's doing well - I know lots of us are terribly busy at the moment. See you all soon.
